July 30. Day trip to Philip Foster Farm.  Students will be picked up, then taken to Philip Foster Farm, where they can see what life was like on the Oregon Trail, and in old west Oregon.

After a roughly two hour visit, students will be returned afterward.

August 4.  

Some of the Summit families will be attending the Clark County Fair on Monday, August 4th.

​

If you'd like to meet up with them, or are just looking for a full day of fun, the fair might be just what you're looking for.

 

Oh, and keeping with this summer's Wild West theme, there's a rodeo at 7:00pm!

​

July 31.  Day trip to the Ape Caves and Lelooska Native American Center. 

 

Please have your students in the Mall 205 Target parking lot no later than 7:00am.

 

Make sure your students have warm clothes, as the temperature inside the caves will be 40 degrees.

 

They also need sturdy hiking type footwear for climbing over, under, around, and between rocks.  So, NO sandals or open toed shoes

 

Students need to bring a good lunch and snacks that will hold them over until dinner.

 

They will be back in time for dinner with their American families.

   

August 5.  

From our friends at Shelton Walt: 

     Our time is flying by and I want to thank all of you for taking such good care of our students.

     We love all of the beautiful pictures and videos that you have been sending in. It looks like everyone is having great adventures.

     We would like to thank the moms, dads, brothers, and sisters who shared their homes with students, this summer.

     Those families are invited for a family appreciation lunch at the FJ Buffet.

August 3. 

     All of the children have expressed to their teachers a strong desire to see the ocean.

     If you are NOT planning a beach trip, and would like for your student to go along with Summit, just text Kathy and we will give you all the details.

     If you ARE planning a beach trip with your student, have a great time when you're there!

     We will leave at 7:00 am from our home at 1815 SE Cutter Lane, Vancouver, on Sunday, August 3rd.

Airport pickup.

Below is the information for the airport pickup on Sunday, August 10th.

 

Please make sure that your students are ready to be picked up, because they have to be at the airport in time go check in for their flights.

 

Robinsons: 5:30am

 

Ursus: 6:00am
